Cockroaches prefer dark, warm places. Check all areas in your kitchen. Make a general cleaning, wipe the floors and countertops on the kitchen, do not forget about all the cracks and corners, which could get pieces of food in them.

Then use borax or boric acid. Borax is the salt of boric acid, and these products works in the same way. Put it on the corners and where cockroaches probably live.
